Travel Trailer in NYC? Manhattan?

I grew up in NYC - Bronx. I never saw a travel trailer in the Bronx or Manhattan.

Has anyone towed a travel trailer in Manhattan on city streets? Driving a class A or similar would not be unusual as there are many large an small commuter buses.

I have seen reports of people accidentally getting into Manhattan. One of them got in the wrong lane on the GW and ended up on the island with a MH and toad, then sweat bullets making turns. If you like traffic, you are in the Atlanta metro get a little taste of it by going on I-285 at GA400 at 8:30am. My question is why? Where would you park, you can't camp anywhere. Granted you say you grew up in NYC and may know your way around but not my idea of a pleasure trip. Tunnels would be a problem with propane tanks, toll on the GW ($50+) or Verrazano ($52) would be expensive.

I wouldn't eve attempt to drive a car in Manhattan. That's why they have taxis and subways.

I live in Manhattan, the west village actually and I store my rigs out in the Port Jervis area. I drive whatever I have into the city once a year to load up as I take out most of my stuff and travel for 4/6 months in the cold.
I see campers, trailers and class b and c's parked on the street pretty often. It's really not a big deal. If you have propane you need to use a bridge and not a tunnel. I also usually come in after midnight and leave the next evening after midnight.
