Gutsy move to take a maiden trip from coast to coast. Hopefully you have done a good pre maintenance prep on the coach. Take your time and enjoy this nations scenery.

Us too! If saving $12 on a tank of diesel fuel vs the convenience were that important, I've give more thought to RVing as a means of travel.

When you get to a half tank of fuel start looking for a station.

There are some LONG distances between fuel stations in some parts of the country.

Thanks, Jim

You have gotten opinions on fuels stops and I suggest you try all you are comfortable with. I use truck stops frequently but not exclusively. I over night at truck stops sometimes so if that is the plan then it's also a fuel stop. If you use Pilot/ FJ I suggest you investigate their charge card. It has several versions with diesel discounts up to 8 cents off the cash price.

I recommend you look at an App from "All Stays" they have a number of apps but their Camp & RV App is the most useful single tool available for traveling RVers. I use it on an IPad but other versions are available as well.

I was so excited about finally being able to use my P/FJ account for the first time since having an account, but alas . By the time I needed fuel they were once again 20 cents too high ! It's not really about the money or convenience. I have the skill to get my MH in and out of almost any spot and 20 cents is no big deal.
I refuse to spend my money anywhere that thinks you are a fool.
I prefer to go somewhere that actually courts you business.
