Trip Oregon to Florida & Back

This past Summer we took our first trip in our 02 Fleetwood Discovery. 8600 Miles in 2 months. After 1 year of searching for a Temp gauge for this coach I finally put an aftermarket gauge and sender in. All is well...After returning from my trip I found a gauge at a dealer in Colorado...A company called "TransWest". Excellent customer service. Next right after we started the trip my rear camera went on the blink. After some serious testing, took 2 minutes, I found it was the camera. Ordered a new one for the newer coaches, and it did fit, from a great company in Baton Rouge, LA. He sent it by ups to my first destination in Indiana. Thank you....It was easy and installed very quickly. We experienced on this great vacation many excellent campgrounds and one or two bad campgrounds. We had a great time. The worst thing we did on this trip was to head across the Golden Gate Bridge in CA.....Took us downtown first then the street guided us up on the bridge. I told my wife "We really don't belong here." All in all we had a great time and the motorhome gave us no trouble. We're headed that way again in 2015. Oregon to Indiana to Penna to Virginia to Florida to Memphis TNN to Cal. to Oregon.....Drive safe and be well!!!

It's great that you had an enjoyable experience. We live in SW Oregon and have kids & grandkids in Florida & in Maine so make an around the US trip every other year. We do try to take different routes on each trip. The US is so very large and there are so many great location. Hope you continue to have great trips.

Sounds like a nice trip. The golden gate was probably an experience! We are headed from BC to Yuma in a couple weeks and were thinking of going through SF but will probably just go down the I 5 corridor. We will find a nice campground and take the toad and tour the different areas. You have some great plans for trips in the works, have fun!!

I5 Canyonville

If you travel Interstate 5 in Oregon. Canyonville Exit 99 be sure to stay at Seven Feathers RV Park. This is an excellent park with very good ratings.
We are looking forward to heading back East in 2015 again. Any suggestions for a vacation this Summer??

We are in FLorida now, having left the Hood River Oregon area in mid December. Has been the coolest year on the beach we have experienced in 4 years of traveling here. Still great and enjoyable.

We just got our Oregon travel guides in the mail today. I retire in May and we plan to hit the road from here in Virginia and end up in Junction City. I want to get a few things checked/fixed on our new-to-us Country Coach. We plan to spend at least a month or so in Oregon.

I may be asking some of you Oregonians about best routes, etc. in the near future.

Oregon

We've travelled in 49 states and there are a lot of great places, but Oregon is on the top of our list as a favorite destination State! Love the coast, mountains, and plains. Can't wait to get back.
