Those of you who may have had some remodeling done that included new woodworking.....if you have cabinet work done at an Amish shop in the northern Indiana area, do just stop in for them to get measuments, colors, etc and come back months later for installation, or do you typically stay put while the work is done and installed?? We are planning some changes and wonder how to schedule the coming summer. Any shop recommendations?
Thanks for any input!

We spent the month of July last year in Elkhart having remodeling done. We stayed in our coach all but 3 nights. Part of our remodeling including a custom cherry credenza with an electric fireplace. We are very happy with all the work we had done and the credenza is extremely well built. The finish matches perfectly.
This was all done by MasterTech RV in Elkhart. We recommend them without reservation and would not hesitate to turn any coach repair or remodel job over to them.
If you are interested in them call the following:
Jack Harris
(866) 895-4556
Feel free to tell him Steve Ownby recommended them.

Precision Painting RV In Bremen In. Not far from Elkhart. We had them replace our front TV cabinet and install LED LCd tv. along with a 4 color paint job. You couldn't tell we replaced it except to know they didn't have that TV in 2002. Matched up the stain and wood perfectly. Economical too. We left our coach there for 30 days while everything was done. But we know of people that had work done and were able to stay in there coach. They have electrical hookups inside and out. Give Dan or Sue a call and see what they can do for you. We were very impressed with everthing they did for us. Including, removing the carpet in the entry and putting tile down.

Ramer Chair Co. is the one I would recommend. His name is Lawrence M. Ramer and his address is 25445 County Road 38, Goshen, In. 46526, phone # is 574-862-4179. Give him a call.

If you go to the Newmar forum here on this site there is a "Stickey" at the top for easy mods. There are a couple of places mentioned in that article regarding funiture builders in IN. From the pics they really look like they do top notch work.

All great info. Best part for us is I grew up in that area so family is still there. Seems like most models have the TV in odd places. I like the idea of removing a sofa and having a cabinet with a fireplace and TV installed.
