Affinity group does send out the best direct mail I have ever seen. I open them because it seems wasteful not to. I have been in about five Camping World stores. When I was shopping for general camping stuff like BBQs, RV toilet paper, and the like I have found them to be a good place to go. The staff in the stores I went into were very helpful and did a good job. However, when I tried to get them to quote tires a few months back they did not follow up and only had Good Year. They have improved their campground web site to the point it is a pretty good resource now. And finally I have bought several versions of their trip planning CD.s. The CD's are not a perfect system but I do use them frequently.

The Open Roads forums are likely the most visited ones on the web. Although by far it is a more pleasant experience to be on this one. And Open Roads does have far far less ads on it.

IMHO the RV world would miss the Affinity group if they went down. I suspect that selling their building does not mean that is coming. There are far cheaper places to own a building than Ventura.

Well, they kept the U.S. Post Office running for a few more years, what happens if all the "junk mail" stops being sent. Good by USPS. (Oh, it's going anyhow.)
