TV distribution box

Our 04 Tiffin Phaeton has a controller box, with manually selected buttons, to route incoming sources (OTA antenna, sat antenna, cable, vcr) to the front and rear TV's. All of the connections are via coax cabling. When we arrived at our current destination for a 2 week stay, the front TV would only "see" the OTA antenna regardless of the source selected. I temporarily fixed the problem by using RCA leads from the Sat receiver to the TV. Has anyone experienced a failure in one of these controller boxes?

no problems with the box for the last 3 years, but I sometimes forget to set the tv back to cable after using it OTA.

Mine is powered with 12V. Maybe a fuse is blown or a connection came lose.

If Dunner (RVM23) can't fix it, it ain't broke!

Had that problem with the '04 Tiffin Allegro Bay with a Winegard Router that I just trade off. Had to reset the TV to Sat after usingf OTA. I kept the router and have since installed it into the Vista to bypass the need for two receivers.

I have had my audiovox mod AVCC100 fail and replaced it with the same mode and it worked fine. Likely the problem was degraded contact connections inside the box.

Due to the newer AV systems, ie, satellite receivers, DVD/VCR recorders that no longer make use of the coax cable connections, I had to replace it when I upgraded my DVD/VCR recorder and installed a newer satellite receiver that had DVR capability. After doing a lot of internet research, I replaced the Audiovox unit with a Quest model QS53D video control center that has a few more connections including coax and RCA jacks to handle newer electronic gear and it works GREAT.

Hope that helps

I can not even imagine how that kind of failure would happen, Less someone re-wired (which is very possible if you are not the oringinal owner) before you bought it.

I would say you choose a good option.
