That is the coolest shirt, I wish I could’ve been wearing it when the people in Yellowstone were arguing over what kind of bear that was.

We are also in Yellowstone and saw a bear the same day you saw yours. Mother and cub about 200 yards off.

the last time i ran into a bear, i didnt notice his color. i was too busy looking at all those large white teeth.

i guess the real difference between a black bear, a brown, honey or otherwise colored, grizzly bear, is the size of the bite he takes out of my rear. because thats going to be the closest part to him.

We caught mamma with her cub before we got the big guy. This went from a couple of people, we were lucky enough to get their early, to a total traffic jam. If I hadn't seen it happen I wouldn't believe it...enormous amount of people in one small area.

I have a slightly different viewpoint. When I see wildlife along the side of the road, especially in places like Yellowstone, I honk the horn and do what I can when passing by to scare the animals away from the side of the road. No good comes to wild animals (and sometimes humans) when the animals lose their fear of people and get too close. Every year, deer, elk, bears, bison, etc. have to be killed because they have lost that natural fear and attack someone getting too close. Others can be seen by the side of the road, killed after being hit by a passing vehicle. I enjoy seeing the wildlife well away from the road, but it is different when they are too close to people.

Absolutely 100% respect the way you feel about it. But, as someone who traveled 1955 miles for 3 1/2 days to specifically observe and photograph the wildlife...I wouldn't want to be the guy behind you 😀

Not sure beeping your horn is a good way to 'spook' animals away from the road. They are looking for food, water, or other comforts. The horn often is just ignored and the animal continues. I had a bison walk alongside my van while stuck in a BHM jam and he bumped my mirror. I honked and he didn't even flinch, just kept moseying along the road. Too much honking and the animal gets used to the sound. One bear in YNP used to keep grazing near the road, Rangers tried to get it to move into the backcountry. A Ranger had a gun with rubber bullets, the bear moved for him. The other Rangers did not, the bear learned which car had the Ranger with the rubber bullets and totally ignored other's cars.

Isn't Mother Nature wonderful!! Thanks to all for sharing videos and pics of Bears. I've only seen one in nature...Driving thru Raton Pass several years ago. Not sure if it was Brown, Black, Grizzly or Gummi...it was just awesome seeing one!
