Years ago an area store that sold party goods and decorations carried sheets of various-sized peel off and stick on U.S. flags. They were thin, soft and flexible plastic that would adhere to any smooth, clean surface - kind of by "static cling". Unfortunately, the store downsized their inventory and now carries mostly greeting cards.

Would anyone know of similarly made flag items that would stick on a smooth surface? The kind I used to have worked well on the white paint of my car but now I have a brownish paint scheme on my MH and need something not semi-transparent. I know there are magnetic signs for advertizing but they wouldn't work on fiberglass.

Sure would love to have a 12" X 15" Old Glory on the rear of my MH and a smaller one on each front corner.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try the American Legion web site - they sell all kinds of flags and decals.

Thanks for the hints.

Gary - As a member of the American Legion, I should hang my head in shame that I hadn't thought of them. They advertise the kind of "stick-on" decals I'm looking for, but at 3X5" would not be too visible on a MH. Besides, they are currently sold out.

Mamaloya - Looks like I go scouting around the Dollar stores.

Thanks again.

Here's a place you can buy them in quantity: American Flag Decals

Just Google the words flag and decal and you will get lots of hits. One of them may have what you are looking for.

Yo Ding-a-ling,

All you had to do was ask your [sometimes] neighbor about where he got his flags: try Del Prete's and/or the Hallmark store in Crest Plaza.

Good luck & happy motorhoming!

If you look at most big truckstops or travel centers they have some flags that come two in a pack both of them are forward moving flags which means the Union is to the front of the vehicle. They are about a 6x6 and 3x3 and are reflective. I have the smaller ones on my vent windows on my Freghtliner, they still look good after 3years and 458,000 miles.

If you are displaying the flag on the front sides of your motorhome remember that the 2 decals will be different looking at them one will have the field of starts on the right and the other on the left.

The flag with the left field of stars is displayed on the left side of the forward part of the vehicle and the one with the right field is displayed on the right front.

The field of stars always face forward as if they were free flowing flags as if the vehicle is moving forward.

You can go to a flea market and find a vinyl graphic vendor. They can print out flags for you as I suggested if you ask. Mine are about 3 inches high and 5 inches long.
