We had just finished setting up camp in our 32' Class A with two slides towing our Grand Cherokee when an older couple pulled in next to us. Modest tow vehicle pulling a small tent trailer. I commented to my wife that it was kinda sad, that at their stage of life, that was their RV. Little later, we got to talking to these very nice people. Seems they were traveling between their summer and winter homes. Winter in Boca Raton, summer in Vail.

Didn't wait to meet the folks but I was very curious. I'm thinking they had a sense of humor.

Unfortunately, we are workamping here. Their attitude is really bad towards oil field workers (who work hard, pay their bill on time, and never give anybody any problem). They charge them to let their families use the pool when they get the opportunity to visit them. They don't allow popup campers, etc, etc.
We are looking elsewhere...cannot sell our souls when it's not how we treat people or want to be treated. Life is too short.
Agree with the poster that quoted Martin Luther King. Wise words that I thought of also.
Drive safely folks....life is too short.

That comment says a lot about her. We have a decent tow rig but our trailer is showing it's age yet we have never been knowingly sneered at. On one of our early trips the shore power went out, over height load took the power lines down, and the guy in the next site insisted we hook to his generator for DW's cpap machine. He had a DP that was worth more than most people's houses. That camaraderie is what we enjoy most about rv'ing.

Not to be taken too seriously due to the last part...

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had to kill because they pissed me off.

Private businesses still have the right to run their business somewhat the way they want. It might limit who can stay there, so those that don't like it can find another campground.
So far we've never been forced to stay where they didn't want us or our 11 year old rig.
