Has anyone tried to rust prof under there rv themselfs. thanks for the help

Rust prof
No I had local rust proving company do it for me. I looked under the motor home
and it looked like a lot of work to crawl under the rig.
All in all it was not to costly for them to do it $135.00 to a 35Ft rig.
I looked under the coach and to me it looked like a good job.
I talked to the young lad that did the work and it took him about two hrs.
It is something you can do your self if you the right equipment & a place to do the work.

Did you brush the Por 15? If you sprayed it what did you use for thinner?
I sandblasted mine, primed and painted it with white Rustoleum. I like the white because it's a lot easier to work under. Six years and it's holding up well, but it doesn't see much winter driving either.

Changing Argosy comment a little, I water-blasted mine, primed and painted it with Rusty-Metal Rustoleum. I wished I had used the white because it's a lot easier to work and holds the top coat much better. But six years later it was holding up well, and we drove the coach in a lot in winter driving.

Brand new camper with no rust at all, so no sandblasting, etc. required. Simply brush on the semi-gloss black, followed by spray can of chassis coat black.
For the OP, it would probably be less expensive and certainly easier in the long run to go the same route as dagger.
