Doesn't seem difficult to me at all.

Red signifies that the tank is reaching its limit. In the case of battery and propane, that they are low. In other words, bad and you need to do something about it.

Yellow would be average, that things are ok for now but that they are heading for red. May want to start monitoring more often.

Green of course, things in great shape. Tanks empty or close to being empty and battery voltage good.

All this being said, i'm not sure why the need for different colored lights. I'm also not sure why the levels go up at an angle, as that did throw me off for a second there.

It makes sense but why on earth did they skew the rows? Just to make it confusing to read without thinking about it for the dyslexic. lol

Yeah, the angle thing is a bit odd; probably just someone's "design" idea. The colors? Well, at a quick glance you can see if everything's good (green/yellow) or not (red) without having to specifically look at each tank.

The problem that I see alot is that tanks are not always a consistent shape from top to bottom, and sometimes the sensors are not placed correctly in regards to the actual volume.

For example, I actually have 2 water tanks, tied together, with one being about 2' tall and the other being only about 8" tall. The top of both tanks are at the same level, which means that each inch of water level in the top 8" is significantly more water (in gallons) than each inch in the bottom 16". In the top 8", each inch represents 5 gallons, but in the bottom 16", each inch represents only 2.5 gallons.

Thanks for the help!

Really appreciate the helpful comments from everyone. Still not sure I understand the way these tank lights work but I'll figure it out with time and experience.
