United States Warranty Corporation

I am always reading about extended warranties and the pluses and minuses as well as the horror stories. I just wanted to relay a good story. When I bought my new to me 2001 Georgie Boy motorhome the dealer included an extended warranty. Yes I know I really paid for it but the owner said USA warranty was a good company and easy to deal with. Well she was right. On my trip from Maryland to Tunica I had a toilet problem. The water would not shut off to the toilet. I had to turn the city water off and turn the pump on every time we needed to use the toilet. Since no shut off valve was installed in the toilet line I was pretty well stuck without water. I did determine that the water control valvee was bad. I called the warranty people and they told me to find someone that would fix it and get an estimate. No one in the Tunica area had the part. I found a Camping World store on my way home that had the part in stock. The cost was $60.00 and they agreed to hold it for me. I called the warranty people back and told them what was going on. Since I was going to install the part myself they agreed to reimburse me the full amount. I got the part installed and did put in a shut off valve and everything is working. I submitted the bill today and I will keep everyone updated.

That's good to know. Most warranty companies no longer pay if you do-it-yourself. They always give "liability" as the reason.

Just as a follow up USA warranty did send a check for the full amount of the part.
