I had replaced my rear Michelins in Little Rock on the way to the rally with new ones but not the fronts as I wanted to check the front tire wear, now that I put the spring back in its original position I'll put new Michelins on the front as well along with a pair of Centramatics which should be here in a few days.

I hate to say it but I had to put a new set of Michelins on the toad as well as the right rear tire started a ply separation which is why I replaced the original tires, being AWD I had to replace all four both times and 18" tires are not that cheap, this time I put Michelins on because of the price discount with FMCA.

The other two sets were Continentals 245/60R18 V rated.

Time to start on the wood trim project, first step was to figure out how to remove the original trim without doing any damage. I started in the bedroom so if all does not go 100% percent as I want it to I can learn where it won't really be seen rather than in the open to view daily living room

Well the flimsy wood behind the factory trim was far from suitable for a base so it was ripped out as well.

I'm in the process of installing a nailer strip on th bottom.

I hear that, the flimsy wood back was cracked and two screws pulled through the wood maybe the fact that the metal slider frame work was not fitted with a flat surface had something to do with it. It was a lot easier to shim the nailer strip for a flat mounting surface rather that tying to shim the wood trim itself.

The three wood panels two of which had to be cut to size are ready to be fitted to a stiffener brace to make sure they don't warp from moisture or the really hot temperatures my wife likes to visit.

But I quit for the day.

John I had some water damage in the center of my 12' galley slide to that fascia, and that one was bordered/built with that MGD or MCD stuff (sorry I don't remember) that's just cheap garbage, ground up wood with a pretty wood like plastic covering and I was never so happy to get that crap out of there....!

Wish I could find a picture of how bad that one of mine looked before I replaced it....

Where did you purchase the flat screen tv mounts?

Once you get yours done, John, I'll hire you to do the replacements on our cloth & wood trimmed slides.

You'll have to do some customizing though to add in my laser etched Bounder logo plaque.

I actually feel pretty good that this was the worse thing I could think of regarding this coach. I think I liked or was OK with it when it was purchased but not so much after a short period of time.

The one for the front was with it when I bought it, I've seen them in many places and it does the job well. The one in the rear was put together with scrap wood, the rubber spacers were from an auto parts store and the top strap if I remember right came with the vehicle but a small 3/4" or 1" ratchet strap would work well.

I have a factory plate like that on the front slide which I'll be leaving in place. The change over would have been a lot simpler with thinner light weight wood or other material but I just could not pass up the doors I found. They were just what I wanted even if I did not know it.

This way I don't have to deal with the bulges at the corners.

The three panels are dry fitted to see how the plan will work out

And test fitted to the wall and to make sure the extra cross stabilizer bar matched up to the factory "straight" slider box

Now it's back to think time for the night then the side trim will be installed tomorrow as well as the final mounting screws.

Oh John, those look beautiful! What an improvement. You've got to be so pleased.

As for your abstract art, maybe it's a stylized "PA". That pointy thing on the bottom right could be an "arrow" (although it looks more like the 60's TV Show Star Trek's uniform badge), but not sure about the "P" part on the upper left.
