Slide in
In the middle of all this I evidently thought I had one panel more so I went ahead and made the screen holder ahead of time well so much for that it seems now I'm one panel short!
I sure wish they would get back with me so I can get another panel or two so I don't have to reinstall the original trim

Man, that looks SO nice. I see your driver's seat back snugs right up to that trim with narry a hair's breath of room.
What'd you do with your fancy, stylized PA emblem? Maybe you could stick a rear view mirror to your windshield, put a chain on it & dangle it from that.

Nothing so grand it's in the box of scrap wood even if I don't know why, it's made of some kind of stained foam material.

Geez, how cheap. Thought our coaches were made in the era of decent bling. Now you've got me wondering what my Bounder logo is made of on my trim. Guess it'll have to wait for our first outing in about a month or so.

Cheap! They used first class Velcro to hold it in place, one good jerk with eight fingers and off it came. I imagine yours is held on the same way.

Beautiful work John. You are quite a craftsman. Did you use any velcro on the top piece or just the french cleat? Also, can you show a picture of the side piece opened up on the hinges? I really need to do something like this on my Newmar so I can move the seat back further.

I did not use any Velcro on the top panels just the full length cleat and a connector trim board of scrap stained woods with dry wall screws to connect the top and bottom of the cleats for adjusting the panels to what I thought was straight. Straighteness was more visual than measuring since the slide was not exactly square.
I used the Velcro on the sides only with the thought of having the panels removable but the end result was they had more movement than what I wanted so I ended up putting a couple of 1" dry wall screws and 3/4"X3/4"X1/4" thick pinewood angle to connect the panels which made them stiff to the touch yet if I screw up and hit them with the seat while opening or closing the slide I think they will pull out of shape or break without damaging the seat upholstery or frame.
The panels stick out like wings about 5 or 6 inches I'll get a picture of the back in a few minutes. As it is now I can just tilt the seat back forward or swivel the seat sideways to move the slide in or out, I just have to remember to do it.
