In a 5th wheel, we bought the new TVs and made/bought brackets to put them in the same cabinets the old TVs were in...put both on doors with hinges so we could use the area behind them (that was taken up by the tube of the old TV) for storage.

New TV's
I am anxious to see the responses you get. I am getting ready to do the same thing in my 99 Endeavor. My front TV is currently over the driver. I plan to re-do the whole thing and move the TV to the center. I am thinking about trying to build some sort of slide out which would allow the TV to be put up and locked into place while traveling.
I already redid the rear TV. I removed the old TV box, filled in the hole through the wall and mounted the TV on a articulated arm. This also gave us another 6" of room in the cabinet. I have not traveled with it yet and am thinking I might also put a small shelf for the TV to also rest on to help support the weight bouncing on the (kinda flimsy) wall.
As stated above, any ideas and/or pictures would be appreciated.

Exactly what I'm right in the middle of now. Got the plywood box ready to put in, got the hinges and backing to mount the TV (32" Samsung LED) tonight. Need to mount the TV and decide on the height of the box, install the bottom, attach new foam then reupholster. Will also need to move the two cabinet doors about ¼" to the sides to clear the TV edges.

Take a look at the MOR/ryde site, they have several slide mounts made for RV's that slide and lock into place.

I just added a 22" Naxa 12 volt LED to my bedroom wall. Great TV and uses less power than other flatscreens. It will run on A/C power with included cord. Only $213 delivered! Got it from overstock.com So light that a cheap flat mount I bought on ebay years ago holds it nicely.
