US to Canada Border Crossings Help!!!!

We use to snowmobile over there. One time, our club, booked 2 motels (54 members). Too many got hassled crossing, didn't take but a few trips across and none wanted to go again, unfortunately the business owners lost our.

Most people have no problems with being checked, its their crummy attitudes that upsets you.

I wasn't suggesting anything of the sorts. They were here legally but it really makes no difference. We are being attacked by a terrorist nation(s) who want us DEAD. I don't believe Canada is under a similar threat.

We cross regularly during the summer between Ontario and Michigan never had a problem going into Canada about food uncooked or not. Coming back into Michigan I have. For the most part they are looking to see if your selling goods like Cigarettes or liquor across the boarder. Other than that No felony record or firearms. They like you to know your license plates smile and be polite answer all questions straight and short, and don't give them a hard time.

They don't care how old someone is, if you hassle them they will hassle back. Father in law is in his 80's and he was crossing ahead of us and complained about how long it was taking and they told him to pull over for further inspection.

I just got back from a couple of months in Alaska/BC.
Its not my first ALCAN rodeo but this one was different.
I decided to take a shotgun.
I just filled out the documentation ahead of time and went across the border "declaring" the shotgun.
They had me park my rig, and go inside and have it approved.
It took twenty minutes but it was cleared.

It is a verified fact that several of them did. (And don't ask for verification - that was over 8 years ago. Google it yourself.)

I found that they tend to ask innocuous-sounding questions that are much more than that. If you're who you say you are, or are very well educated on the area you claim to be from, you'll have no problems. This is nothing new - we've seen it for ~20 years.

In 6 crossings, at 3 locations, we handed them our passports when we drove up, got asked a question or 2, and got given the wave-through. Only once were we even asked about agricultural products (at Peace Arch, northbound). We were very careful to be compliant, but it never became an issue.
