I've spent the past few months researching ESPs. Good Sam, Protrek, Xtraride, ACC Warranty, Allegiance, and USA Travel Care, just to name a few... You will get many opinions both good and bad about the claims process and whether they pay or not. You will also get opinions to self insure vs. buying an ESP. In the end it's really back in your court. I am myself considering the USA Travel Care ESP. You have to read the fine print word for word, understand what it includes and excludes, and feel you are getting a good value for the upfront cost... and only you can decide that... Good luck! As I am still considering an ESP, I will follow this thread...

If you don't mind having things repaired by Camping World, then go with the GoodSam. When you take it in for repairs, they will handle everything. I didn't have to call anyone, just gave them my policy number and handled all the authorizations and even dropped my deductible when they was a little late completing repairs.

Just to be clear, there is nothing in the Good Sam ESP that requires you to go to Camping World for repairs.

Oops, should have stated that, just made it easier, at least for me. Bought it when I bought a used DP, its out now and I didn't renew. I trust what I bought now.

ESP Options

Yes, the DW and I have about a month before we start our trip up through Canada to Alaska. We were wondering the same. Which is the best to buy? Since we will be traveling through Canada will the Good Sam's ESP work there?
