Use of Bar Soap????
I just read on another thread that using bar soap in the shower creates a problem with build up in the gray tank. It makes sense to me but I'm surprised I've never heard or read anything about it before.
Do you use bar soap? Has it created a problem? What do you use instead?

Bar soap
What about liquid body soap or biodegrabile soap.

My shower is too small to use bar soap. If I dropped it I'd never be able to pick it back up!

We have "Body Wash" for several years, no scum build-up on the shower walls.

We have been using bar soap for years and have never had any problems. I have not worried about using bar soap since I was in the service and was afraid if I dropped it I would have to pick it back up.

Seventeen yrs w/ bar soap, biodegradrable of course, no problem. But I DO rinse my black tank occasionally...

We use bar soap, regular toilet paper and I wash the coach with Dawn dishsoap.
Everything is just peachy dandy.
Have had RV's for about 30 years and had no problems using regular stuff.

I completely agree  most of this RV specialty stuff is just marketing hype designed to sell more products.
RickO, use whatever soap you wish, and enjoy your showers without worries.

Never had a problem with bar soap.
Well...... I did once. I dropped a new bar on my little toe.

Something interresting to add... I'm not sure if it will be safe for RV use or not but...
Like here at home the shower stall get soap scum build up and gets a dirty apppearance. So what I do is 100% strength I spray down the showaer stall with CLR and it quite litterial will rinse away with water.
I wonder if you mixed a milder solution for the RV and cleaned the shower as well as dump some in the holding tanks to help break up the sludge?
I know there is the ice cube trick, calgon, water softerners, etc...
