Actually, last year my son stopped to help a disabled tow vehicle for TT. Needed a radiator clamp. But, son had baling wire on board in his camper. Got them to the next town where appropriate clamp was available.

I also see chewing gum and bobby pins have been left off the 'make-do' list.
