Seems to me there is a little matter of making a false police report that might upset those plans!

See if I got this right. The driver asked for more money or he'd drop it off enroute...where? Who knows .

If that's the case, I'd consider it stolen but hey, I rolled the dice and he delivered to the agreed fee.

Uship support continues to be fantastic. With all luck the trailer will be here in an hour or so.

He said the dealer would deliver for $3000. OP opted to go the Uship route to save some money. That was in the original post.

I'm trying to remember if I paid Uship and they paid the driver, or if I paid the driver upon delivery. If they are paying him, then they have the hammer.

I've already paid uship. They'll pay him as soon as I hit the "it's delivered" button which is what he wanted me to do last night.

Just got a text that he's 10 miles out...

That's what I was thinking. That's the reason Uship can keep them on the straight and narrow. If they foul up Uship may deduct some amount or just take their time paying...

So: the trailer is here in very good condition . It's dirty but it also just came from the PNW to Texas in February so as good as can be expected.

The transporter apologized profusely for getting a bit flaky yesterday and credits his wife for calming him down. all is well that ends well: I think he has learned his lesson.

Uship customer service was fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Thompson RV his the keys in a sooper secret hiding place which is another feather in their hat. Those guys have been awesome; please consider them if you need a trailer or truck camper they carry. They even stashed a bottle of wine and a bottle of whiskey in the drawer under the dinette.

I'll save the rest of my gushing over this trailer (I'm seriously in love) for my thread over in the ORV forum.

Great to hear it ended well for you. So, what kind of rating do you plan to give this guy?

We're giving it a few days to stew on it. Yes it was a PITA but the trailer arrived in good condition for a good price and he's an otherwise decent dude who was in a bind and panicking. Not 5 stars but not one star either.
