Going to see if I can find the duck valves locally today, might as well replace them while I got it open.
On to the next adventure.

Yup, that would do it or..feminine hygiene products ... been there...dun that cleanout...
See my post above for parts.. was half the price of the local outlets (RV dealers here in Salem) even with with overnight freight service
Be sure that you measure the diameter of the duckbills... can be either 1.5 inch or 2 inch diameter.. while you are there ...... get the bellows kit and replace it as well....Have the serial number of the tank and pump handy..

For sure! DW crossed that threshold years ago, I think I need to thank the DD and her children for their contributions. No sign of the half-toasted marshmallow that GS flushed a couple of years ago. That is a story in its self.
I figure on just getting a rebuild kit and "Just Do It" while I got it apart.
And thanks for the link, was checking prices last evening.

I fill the gray tank every time I dump the tanks. When there is a clog, leave black tank valve open and then open gray water valve, then it has enough pressure to push up the clog and free it. I open the gray valve for 20 second and then close. I do that procedure 3 times every time I dump and it always works.

We used to maintain smooth poop chutes on aircraft vacuum toilets by flushing crushed ice. Maybe the ticket once you get the 'ol sausage sucker working properly...well, if that doesn't work, maybe a change in diet would help.

With the vacuum system the clogs are either plugged duckbills or wedged in the bellows chamber..ie before it even gets to the black tank..

My Vacuflush sucks again!
Had some delays due to family obligations and had to borrow my 13 year grandson, but all appears well.
While getting it apart the elbow into the tank slipped out of the tank. Of course for me to reach it I'd have to loose a massive amount of weight. GS was able to get is small, tough, strong frame in there head first and work it into place. He would just put his arms out over his head and dive in.
On to the next adventure.

For the GS.. when it is time... he deserves a Henry .22 lever action me thinks...or at least a good fishing pole and tackle box..

His stepdad has taught him fishing and he loves it. I think he has drowned more worms than I knew existed. They took a charter out of Depoe Bay last fall and the owner said he'd hire him if he was old enough. He was helping others on the boat as the bait boy no showed. Knowing the GS he'll follow up in a few years.
His younger brother got into fly tying, but that kind of died off. Still likes to fish but after couple of hours he is done.
DW and I have them for 5 days over Memorial Day, I'm thinking I'll take them out for a day. Providing they get the fence built.

My FIL had a 36 foot Sea Hunter that we took out of Depoe Bay many times (had it stored @Siletz)
And if the seas were a bit too rough to go out..did fish for flounder or Ling Cod..
Do love that Moe's Clam Chowder..

Toilet paper
After years of SCUBA diving in Cozumel Mexico where toilet paper is placed in garbage can next to the toilet due to sewer system on the island we have taken that approach to our vacuum toilet. As gross as it sounds it really isn’t and as difficult as it sounds to service the pump we will continue the practice. Our pump is located in the basement (thanks Fleetwood) and will be very difficult to service.
