Vacuum Cleaners
Anyone have a suggestion for a good vacuum for the RV? We don't have unlimited storage so I need one that is compact, rechargeable and is powerful.

We have been using the Dyson Handheld vac for about four years. Works great, compact and rechargeable. Tried another brand but it did not Suck like a Dyson. Not a toy.

Have you looked into a central vacuum? I installed the Dirt Devil in our rig with the VroomRV retractable hose. I ran the hose under the stove and out the floor to the vacuum unit in the basement. It doesn't take up any otherwise usable space and the hose extends from end to end of the rig. It's no Kirby, but it gets the job done just fine for the RV.

X2 on this. Did the same thing but mounted under the dinette seat.

We use the Shark rechargeable from Walmart. A pretty remarkable sweeper/vac for the price!

We have a central vacuum in our 5er and it's not worth two dead Flys. The bought a Shark Rocket, work great.

I have been using the Hoover Linx, which is a rechargeable. it has rotary brushes and it is relatively narrow, making it easy to get into small spaces. A single charge is more than enough to do my 43' coach.

I use either a Roomba or a Neato robotic vacuum in mine (and in the house and the boat). I buy used ones and fix them up to resell, so I've always got a few around here. I always make sure I've got some around for my personal use. Those would not be a good choice if your coach isn't always plugged in though. Their batteries die faster if they are not kept on a charger. I would assume that to be true for any rechargable vacuum.

We have the Dyson Animal and it works great. Battery time is short but it does the entire 40' MH with left over juice.

I've been using a tiny 2.5 gallon shopvac from Sears so far and it seems to do a good job for me. It's just small enough that I can put it out of the way easily when I'm not using it.

Our Dirt Devil central unit is a pain+replacement bags are hard to find. Storage for the 30' hose and attachments take up more storage room than our Dirt Devil cannister unit w/ power head.

I have the shark rechargeable one and it is great. I had the old central vac system in my Hawkins and it was great, but I had to run the penny to use it or be plugged in.
