I knew a guy years ago that him and his GF had two pythons. 1- 6' and 1- 8'. Every couple of weeks or so they had to get live rats and let them loose so the snakes could eat. He was allways asking for DW and I to come over for drinks. NO THANKS. Not my Idea of having house pets.

On the bright side, the yellow rat snake in the pic I posted isn't venomous- it's a constrictor type, according to what I've read.
Just don't try to give him a hug...

Why? Does it remind you of old BF's?

No-
It's just that constrictor snakes tend to "hug" back just a lit-tle too enthusiastically!
My old boyfriends knew enough to back off a titch when they heard bones cracking...

Hi, "Isdvn"!
Don't give up too soon...
And welcome to the forums!
Don't be put off by the snake pic- it's a real picture all right, but it's probably not very common for a snake to appear on an RV.
Plus it was taken in Florida!
Me, I'm more concerned about the fact that here in Washington, our rattlesnakes actually SWIM!
I have no pictures of this incident, but:
Do you know what a "float tube" is?
Fishermen sit inside them with flippers on and paddle around lakes, etc.
Last year a friend of mine was doing just that over at Lake Lenore when a rattlesnake swam right up into his LAP!!!!
I think the snake just wanted to take a rest or something...
My pal managed to get it off somehow and get himself back to shore, but he's seriously reluctant to get back in the float tube now.
And no wonder!

They would have had to gather my family at the water's edge and toss flowers into the water because I wouldn't have lived through that. Nothing is more creepy than a snake in the water.
Last year while in South Carolina, DW and I rented Kayaks for the first time and were paddling around a little lagoon when we spotted snakes swimming on both sides of us in formation just a few feet away! I'm still amazed we kept those things upright but a change of clothes was in order when we got back.

Hi, Dunner
Doesn't seem likely...very few trees in that part of the State...
That was true at Lake Lenore even BEFORE the famous "Exploding Sodium Barrels" were dumped in it after WWII!
But that's another story- no snakes in that one...
Here's a recent picture of the lake:

I found it a "not so good idea" to park under trees. They are lightning magnets and when the rain is just coming down as a mist, the droplets form on the needles/leaves and make a lot more noise than the mist or even a normal rain would.
