Video Series: Shopping for an RV

We just sold the house and we're getting ready for full-time RVing on the road. We're in our early 30s and we knew nothing about RVs when we started (We still have so much to learn).

Follow along as we document the shopping process of our journey:

Watched some of your videos...great job! Subscribed

Just want to point out 2 things...

In all motorhomes sold, there are many more gas chassis made over Diesels. Total registrations last year were over 4 gas to 1 Diesel. Of course this includes C's and B's, but for Class A registrations, gas still exceeds Diesel.

An option I did not see you mention is the Motorized Toy Hauler...See the sticky here:
Class "A" Toyhaulers
These are available in C and Super C as well...from E450 Cab/Chassis to Class 8 truck converstions.

Because the garage is a climate controlled space, it becomes a multi-purpose room when unloaded...like this full-timing couple who seem to be doing a similar work/life to your plan:
RV Outlawz | Denny and Veronica's adventures on the road!

For us, it is really the best of all RV's to take everything with you and tow that car or Jeep for exploring.

Finally, in the video you mention taking the RV away then using a capable vehicle to explore even further off the beaten path. So, it is significant that as a general rule, gas powered RV's have a higher ground clearance over Diesel chassis. There are exceptions, but rare. It is just the way they are designed.

Best luck and safe travels

We love the toy haulers. We filmed a segment on toy haulers, but the video was getting too long so we axed that part.

Really good point about gasses being dominant, I didn't know that at all. I also didn't realize the gasses had more ground clearance. Great input, thanks!

Hope you put the Toy Hauler footage out there...even a stand alone YouTube vid would be great to see other's opinions about these unique RV's. Some love them, some hate them. But lucky for us all, there are options.

Best luck
