VIN #

I feel sure I'm not asking this in the proper section. But, I don't know where to go.
I need to know where the VIN # is on a 1972 20 foot Argosy camping trailer, Please.

There used to be a tag on the side, but to back that up the number was stamped into the LH side of the frame in front. Often right where the snap up bracket was located, so removal was necessary to get to it. It could also be covered by many layers of paint? That's where I would go for it.

There may not have been one. VINs were not standardized and required on all vehicles until 1981. Some vehicles had them before that, but they were not 17 characters and not in a uniform format or location. A trailer manufacturer in 1972 may not have applied one at all.
