If a catastrophic event happened you could potentially be right where they are. You simply come off with this as sanctimonious. Just saying.

You have to admit, its better then them sleeping on the sidewalks.
X2

Glad that Walmart allows it most places. City ordinance prohibits it at some, including Southern California. The semi-homeless that live in them dot the shorelines and campgrounds here. Panhandle for campsite fees. Dozens of them.

Rather have them safely there, than parked in front of my house.

With the slow change in the redistribution of wealth that has greatly pushed the once lower struggling middle class into this last gasp of independence before shelter life. Many RV parks would never let run down RV's into their parks in the first place, along with them ever being able to afford the monthly rate.

Just so happens many Walmart's are in urban areas where some might find day work, temp work in the area.

I believe the overall point here is that Walmart started a policy of allowing RV overnights as a marketing decision that brought business into their stores. They never intended (nor wanted) it to be abused.
There are solutions for the homeless (with RVs) that Citys lack the interest or ingenuity to use! For example in the Bay area of CA, there is a nice large parking lot that was given to the city called the "tarmac at the former NAS in Almeda"! It would be a good use of many former military installations! Not to leave out that all those fairly new barracks sitting empty could house a lot of homeless Vets!
The problem of all those derelict RVs parked on city streets is both a crime and health issue! It would be cheaper to find an appropriate location (like above) and tow them there!

My community has one sorta homeless guy that lives in his sisters garage and hobos during the day for cigarettes and soda. Another person is parking lot living in a class B. Both of these souls are living on the street by choice because jobs here pay $25 per hour and there is a shortage of workers. My concern is that the person in the class B is going to ruin this rv friendly community for the rest of us.

Thank you, perfect reply A few of the replies above yours don't even rate an answer. People act like it's okay but if it was happening near them or too their loved ones, I'd be willing to bet they would have a different attitude.

Walmarts generosity many years ago began being abused by people like the ones that think this okay. And the ones that plan trips around "WALLYDOCKING"

The thing I didn't mention are that when the parking lot gets crowded with these RV'S the street corner beggars with the cardboard signs increases tenfold. To me asking for $ is not the end of the world. But getting aggressive when it's not handed to them is another story.

Being unemployed seems to be a goal for some people. They just don't want to work!

Back in the day in NYC there were 'squeegee men' who would come up to your car when you were at a red light. Start cleaning your window and then put there hand out. If you didn't give them money they broke your windshield wiper.

The USA is a free Country. In Case you don't know it today is Veterans day, they made it a free Country for you and me. If someone wants to photograph me and my RV I have absolutely NO PROBLEM with it. You know why? because I CAMP where it's legal, I never CAMP on private property, I never DUMP where it's not legal My garbage stay in my vehicle until I find a garbage can that I'm ALLOWED to use and most of all I don't beg for $ I don't harass ANYONE ever. I was on Google earth yesterday looking at my backyard. So you need to go back to school and learn what's unethical.
Please explain how I slanderd them?

I pray that you do not support imposing your views on others.
