Walmart phone service

Been with Verizon for years, but I hear they are going to stop the unlimited data plan.

I keep seeing on TV the walmart plan for cellular service at $45 month. What are your experiences with this plan and how is the coverage?

The coverage does not come from Walmart.
The Walmart plan is on T-Mobile. Look at their coverage map.

The coverage comes from Straight Talk, a division of Tracfone.
I've had it for 3 years now and have no regrets.
Depending on the phone you choose, you will either be in the AT&T network or the Verizon network.
Your phone choices are fairly limited and if you have to talk to support it is someone in India.
If you use your phone like I do, it's the perfect setup. Unlimited everything for under $50 a month.
I left the contracts behind and haven't looked back. I think it's great!

I use T-Mobile, and have only had one campground where it's no signal (And I had a good voice link from AT&T there) There was a Phone message I got the other day about higher roaming charges.. My contract has no roaming charges in the US so I'm going to have to check that out.
