Im down at the Jersey shore at Capemay.
I had to go to walmarts and notice 5 MH park at walmart.
I do not agree with this but they had there slides out and few even had there awning out. I think they got here early probably a day sooner and waiting to get in to there campground.
I have stayed in a walmarts but did not put out the slides and well did not camp there.
O well just my two cents
Jim

You said a mouthful!
Nice ol'Jim posted his innocent "What's up with RV's at Walmart?" observation in July, 2009!
But we haven't heard from him lately
Let's put out an APB for him and find out what he thinks about this-er-phenomenon he created!
Hmmmmm... not much to go on except his "Doodles" Avatar picture...I guess that'll have to do!

Here he is, folks......

The best Scotch for the money (not single malt) is Ballantines. Wish Walmart carried it. Wait, I think they do

BUT in my case, it's a image thing - when I see an old - or new RV - setup for an overnight or longer stay in an area clearly NOT designed or intended for that purpose, I feel it's tacky, makes RVers appear to be cheapskate freeloaders, and since *I* too am a RVer, I feel that reflects upon me as well - which by my personal view, MAKES it "my business" too!
Here is another flashback from 2009. I feel our image collectively as Rvers is intact and not damaged in any way by overnighting at Walmarts.... What do you guys think?

If it bothers you what other RVers do, Move on OR look out an other window. They are not going to change and have their rights and opinions, the same as you do.
This was post number 5 two years ago and would make a good closing statement ... we will save this for post 2000 if we ever get there.

Personally, I think post #2000 should be reserved for a Word from Our Founder, Doodles the Clown.

Politicians react to pressure from perceived voters. Most rv parking bans are due to RV Park owners objecting to losing the revenue. If it were Walmart objecting, they could simply post signs in the lot.
I agree...

Dear Walmart,

Your video, "The People of Walmart", is incomplete to say the least.

There's no footage of ME in it.

I can only attribute this monstrous oversight to your inability to penetrate the Wall of Bodyguards that surrounds my trailer when I'm overnighting in your lot(s).

Next time, call ahead.

Sincerely yours, though miffed,

Francesca
