We stay at Walmart a lot when traveling,Rule #1 always go in and ask where you can park, they have always been very cordial. We don't put our slides out but have seen several who do.Naturally we shop and shop there.Best to stay at the Supercenters, plus we buy gas at Murphys that is a big plus for staying at Walmart.

This is all so ridiculous. Wal-Mart has stated they invite RV's to park in their lot if the county or city accepts it. Weather you put out your slides, run your gen or put out a lawn chair, I don't think it matters to them. I also think they did it for PR reasons and the little money you spend there while you are parked doesn't really matter to them.

Putting jacks down, dumping wastes down the runoff drain, parking for a week or littering is just not right and anyone with half a brain would know better. You either have common sense or you don't. No one has the right to decide what Wal-Mart wants, needs or intends but Wal-Mart itself. If you don't agree with parking at Wal-Marts then don't but don't try to regulate everyone else with your self morals and want of government to control us all. We are a free nation and we encompass many different types of people each with their own wants, needs and beliefs. What "fits" you may not fit someone else. So happy trails where ever you go and just let it be.... Live your own life..... and the rest, stop making excuses for parking at wallyworld....

We reached over 2000. In the first 1000 it was all said. There really is nothing more to say. It just goes on and on. Time to shut this thread. Maybe next year something new will come along and we can beat it to death. None of it has changed my mind or habits about WalMart parking. I doubt it changed your minds either.

Decided to finally count tonight, I counted at least 29 rvs, all the way from pickup campers to large DPs at the WM in Bozeman, MT

Pretty average numbers here during the summer. Get a fair amount during the winter, too.

We parked in a Wally World lot in LA near Pasedena a couple of years ago and even used the store where we bough provisions. No one seemed to mind including security, we had a nice chat.

AMEN!!! - I just realized that I've never noticed an RV parked at my local Walmart!! It isn't on the highway and the parking lot isn't as big as compared to most of the Walmarts we've stayed at. I'll have to ask about this next time we're there...

Weather you put out your slides, run your gen or put out a lawn chair, I don't think it matters to them. So slides, generator and chairs are OK with you? Me too! Well, not chairs...

Putting jacks down, dumping wastes down the runoff drain, parking for a week or littering is just not right and anyone with half a brain would know better. I like to think I have at least half a brain, but I do put down my jacks. I wouldn't in really hot weather, but have never run into that when staying the night at Wal-Mart. I'm not sure grouping jacks with dumping wastes, staying a week or litering is a good idea.

Heres some useful information, Walmart has a total of seven letters in its name. This fits right in with the rest of the info in this thread of late.
