That is understandable as I don't feel safe any place in the LA area.

Well except East LA, it is heaven on earth......

I know you like to open your door onto the grassy area, Francesca, as do I. Besides the view, do you need a shade tree? Maybe I can just stick a sign post in the ground with "Reserved for Francesca" on it!

Did you know the gas station across the street, used to be Shell, now something else, has free water, air and free dump station? Another reason I like that WM!

Are you saying you would be hesitant to park in a WM parking lot, Jeeper? Most are 24hr. stores with lights all over the place. I'm told they have security guards in vehicles, though I've never seen one. I think you have to think of it like this, like a bad guy. You walk up to an RV in a parking lot with nefarious deeds on your mind. But, you don't know who is in there. You can't see into most of them. You don't know if someone is sitting inside with a gun in their lap, or a billy club or a baseball bat, or who knows what. Why not look for something a little easier to access? I understand what you are saying, but I think you have to go through the experience at least once to get a good idea of what it's like. I find it strangely comforting to be there.

Free dump station?

OK, you've sold ME on the merits of the Omak WM. But I have to ask, why Omak in November! It'll be tough to whip out the BBQ and enjoy that grassy strip in my bikini top when it 30 degrees out.

Madrona, most thugs are not as smart as most of us. They're mostly opportunists. They think they will never get caught. Even still, I do think they consider what they might be up against.

Dear me- it hadn't occurred to me that the Garden Shop may be closed by November...
I suppose our usual method of dragging some of their full sized potted shade trees around the parking lot is out.
Do you think Christmas trees will be in by then?
I think two or three side-by-side would be adequate...
Can you call ahead and reserve some in the "tall enough to block the streetlight" size range?

Francesca

The WM near me already has their Christmas trees up in the seasonal dept. But if the light bothers you or keeps you awake, don't get the pre-lit ones.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?
