I drove my MH thru a WM parking lot, but it was because I heard a clunking noise when turning. Turned out to be a sliding drawer that wasn't latched. feeuuw...

This thread could be the start of a new one. There are WMs that are actually decent for overnighting (safe area, clean, etc) and there are some that are a bit scary. Assembling a list of those "4 star" WMs would be helpful. Allstays RV and Camping and RVing map is good as it illustrates those WMs that don't allow RV overnighters, but you still don't know what to expect until you pull in. It would be nice to know the good vs the not so good; this would save time and fuel. Just a thought.

I do not frequant that store enough to know the layout. on my trip home, I did stop at walmart, parked a few yards away from everyone else, and left after a few hours of shut eye. Was I a bad Wallydocker? if so, please forgive me.
Oh no, not another "thread closer". All has not been said. IMHO, there is no such thing as a Bad Wally docker. Using a WM lot as a place to relax a while is exactly what this thread is all about. Some people relax for a few hours during the day, some relax for a few hours at night, some relax over night. Rude is rude, no matter where you are. If you don't do anything rude, you are a great Wally Docker. If you feel guilty for not buying something in the store, don't worry about it. My wife more than made up for it last night. Or if you really feel guilty, just pay for the TV she bought. Anybody else who feels guilty can pay for the IPAD2. I'll pay for the chicken.
I have an addition to my bucket list: Overnight at WM without spending more than a campground would have cost.

At least you have something to show for staying at a WM. Not so for staying at CG. Oh wait, you have a receipt for the CG and maybe a warm, fuzzy feeling that lasts for... maybe a couple hours, at most.

If you try to get a camp ground around the Destin-Fort Walton area at a moments notice you will be very lucky. I have had to reserve a campsite at least a week, sometimes two to get a vaccant one with my name on it.

"It would be nice to know the good vs the not so good; " This from #3390. I think there was a movie about that once.. The Good , The Bad, and The ugly. I think you got somthing there. I guess i'll have to mention walmart to keep on topic, so I will.
I think i did.

I think WalMart is missing one important product in their line up.

"I'm a Happy Wally Docker" with smiley face logo Tee Shirts.

Come on, Bentonville.

I agree, but the logo MUST include a chicken in it. Free camping isn't the best deal, it's the $6.00 chicken. It's always about the chicken.

How about the free coffee we were served at one Wal*Mart?
