Who all has followed this thread since 7/18/2009?
How many have posted a picture of their rig at a Walmart?
Example: see post #8

Memphis area Walmarts

Anyone reccomend a Walmart in Memphis area? I am driving on I-55 then turning east on I-40 in Memphis on the way to Louisville for the Good Sam Rally. The trip suggests I stop for a night in route somewhere around or east of Memphis.

Any suggestions?

Lou

I'll make a point of doing that when I head out later this month.

There are a couple of WM on the east side, one rt on 40. Go to the WM allstays app and get the info.

I guess I'm on "Ignore".

Seriously, if I want to sit outside in the evening and have a beer, I have to sit on my steps, or maybe a milk crate?

I'd say you are about right - remember you are in public where maybe beer drinking is frowned upon.

Ya know, there is a limit. If you can't be comfortable in your own bed my goodness, put the bedroom slide out. Sometimes we have to use the slide so we park with that side towards the grass. Lot is usually level enough so jacks are not necessary for BR slide. 99% won't even know.

Is the one on 40 one you would be comfortable spending one night?

Be careful in Memphis as many areas are pretty bad. I wouldn't spend the night anywhere there without an armed guard. Personally I would stop either before or after Memphis unless you can find a fenced-in campground there. A stranger to the city wouldn't know the bad areas.

Isn't that why they invented brown bags. Or better yet wal mart bags. Wrap a WM bag around a 40 and have a ball.
