IMO , I think Walmart wants business from group A and B. If they cared about what we do when parked there , I think they would let us know.
I agree. However many do not hence 4500 posts.

Has anyone seen or heard from the Op? He might be eligible for royalties....

I have an app "Allstays camp and RV" which maps all Walmarts and indicates which ones you can ask to stay. Color coded on the icons so it is very clear, also shows every other campground and fuel stop.. Highly recommend this App.

That's a great idea about picking up trash for the use of their parking lot. I'll be doing that as soon as I start RVing the country near me.

In California there is an idling rule. So you can be cited for running diesel engines for longer than 15 minutes. Gasoline engines are not far behind.

Last June I stayed at the whitehorse WalMart (yukon).
This was my first stay at WallyWorld and I liked it.
The famous chicken was not to be found there but there is a McD with free WiFi.
There were lifely discussions with other wally dockers about the "floorplan" of the parking lot where overnighting was allowed and the real world.
The board is 90 degrees of but how hard you try, there is no way it fits/resembles the parking lot. Oh well, every one found a spot and stayed there.

It was a welcomed experience after boondocking at gravel pits and national parks.
Grad I could finaly add to this tread

Well, I went from wannabe to been there, done that. This wasn't my first nigth at WM butit has been a while. Spent last night at WM in Big Rapids MI, on the way to Sleeping Bear Dunes. Is anyone going to the Nation rally in Tennessee. We can probably make it in a day from Belleville but will probably stop in Nashville.

I believe it applies only to commercial vehicles. The rules are now so convoluted that no one knows for sure what's legal. For example, if you have the "clean idle" certification sticker on your truck, you can idle as long as you want to anywhere you want to. If you don't have it, you can use your APU...provided it's plumbed into the exhaust system of the truck, including particulate filter and urea injection. You can't use a different fuel than the fuel the truck uses to power an APU. In other words, you can't use a propane generator with a diesel truck. And it only goes downhill from there.

But, as I said, these are rules applying to commercial vehicles.

The Walmart in Temecula, Ca has signs posted in their parking lot that prohibits overnight parking.

California.. Make rules, sell exemptions to it. Make new rules, sell new exemptions..
