I'm not aware of any problems WM has acknowledged. It seems most "problems" are brought about by RV'ers, mostly clubs, that feel they must control the behavior of WM guests and overnighters. They are the ones that have come up with a list of do's and don'ts.

Common sense always applies. That's my rule, what's yours?

Sadly, what we might consider 'common' is lost on some people. Best I can do is use my common sense and not try to dictate to others.

Yep, too many people trying to dictate what others do or think.

Madrona and "D" have a good handle on the supposed Walmart problems. There are too many self appointed Walmart Rules makers that have absolutely NO authority given to them by Walmart. I call them busybodies. There will never be a handout from Walmart with all the rules spelled out that the bustbodies insist are set in stone rules. Every Walmart store has their own policies and they do not deputize the busybodies to enforce the rules they (The busybodies) have created. A great big percentage of the RV'ers at Walmart have never heard of or read these Forums where the busybodies spew their rules.

I try to go first class. I'll only use a Wal-Mart if Sam's is full.

Reminds me when I go to Sturgis. 100 RV's in the Wal-Mart lot in Rapid City and I and a couple others below the hill at the Sam's.I can't figure why. I've always called ahead of time and wait to stock up until I get there and been doing it for 7 years. Arrive about 7 at night and gone before opening. You don't want to RV through the Black Hills at night.
I stay in Custer.(TOO many ugly women in Sturgis) Good God.

We aren't normally there for more than one night, but sometimes taking care of business for an older relative takes longer, as it did this visit.

On our first night, we arrived about midnight. It was still very warm and there was a lot of activity by the RV'ing overnighters. There was one group of trailers, all pulled by black pick up trucks. They had formed a corral right in the middle of a lane of traffic in the lot. Normally I don't care about how people conduct themselves, but thought this unusual enough to take a couple pics. The first in the evening as I was walking back from the store and noticed lots of noise and what seemed like a hundred little kids running around both inside the "corral" and outside of it, and the second the next morning. In the night time pic, you can see my Class A off in the distance in the middle of the pic with the "corral" middle left.
Just thought it was interesting. Mostly I was surprised management would allow them to take over a traffic lane like that.

Those are the idiots that will ruin it for all of us.

Did you ever stop to think that those folks you call idiots might very well have gotten permission from Walmart to do exactly what they were doing. That is a huge parking lot (been there) and the OP said they were well away from everyone.

Some of the busybodies are the ones that will never stay at a Wal*Mart anyway.

Well, all these posts make it plain as the pimple on your face, this calls for legislation. I'll write my senators and get the ball rolling.

Where is Mayor Blumenthal when we need him???

That's right. No more ice cream or sodas can be consumed while overnighting at Walmart.

I already contacted Senator Feinstein. She will be looking out for dirt bags in the Walmart parking lot.
