Ah shucks folks, it was nothing

I was just curious as to why he was parked there for so long. Really none of my business but..............

In hindsight, I am really glad that I stopped and that things are looking up for him.

Getting back on topic, Vern told me that a few days ago he woke up to lots of company as a caravan of motor homes had stopped overnight.

14 assorted motor homes. Must have been a mini rally!

Everyone had their generators running air conditioners running and the slides, if they had them, open. It has been Florida hot up here for the past week or so. Just cooled down this morning.

Now there is an idea. Carry a magnetic "SECURITY" sign and stick it on the door when you are overnighting in parking lot (not useful on the fiberglass parts)

I see that security was not the case with Vern but the story is heartwarming with a happy ending. I hope things work out really well for him at his new job.

Well, yeah, but the guy probably "bought lotsa Walmart stuff", then "asked the manager (or the lot boy) for permission", and really only wants to "sleep for a few hours, then be on his way", and doesnt want to "pay a hotel/motel for services he doesn't want or need"...

You know - all the USUAL reasons given by RVers for bumming an overnight stay at Walmart - and LOOKS just about as attractive to passing onlookers as well...

If you don't know about this web site - Funny Pictures at WalMart - it is an interesting look at this aspect of Americana!

The DW and I just left Wally World and while walking thru there we saw a couple of candidates for "The People of Walmart"

I told sweetie that I was going to put a post on here to see if it would be "Appropriate"

BTW. Canada has the same interesting aspects.

Looks like RV Dude beat me to it.

Another interesting web site is You Drive What? | photos of funny cars, strange cars, weird cars, ugly cars, junk cars and cars that barely run!

Lots of interesting RV's and other vehicles ? parked at Walmart and other places.

I could understand the management of Walmart asking to have some of these vehicles moved around back.

Mike, I just can't figure out how you were able to get on my property to take that picture of my RV.

RVDude, We just returned from shoping at WM and if I would have had my camera, I could have added a few pics to that website. I was actually thinking about it when we were there. John H...

After looking at that site I was going to post that picture but I didn't have the nerve and didn't want to offend anyone

Kinda reminds me of the person my grandson & I saw in one of the isles.
T E N N E S S E E in 4" block letters across the rear. Not a wrinkle nor crease. He still laughs at the thought. Me too for that matter.
I'll stop there if the need arises.
Safe travels

OK, here's a way to reach past the 25 post. I suggest we pick a day and all the Wally Dockers pull in at a certain time in the closest Walmart and go in and thank the management for being RV friendly. Wonder how many would do it?? It could be called, Walmart Appreciation Day from the RV Community.
