It is not a Walmart, but I stayed at a Camping World just outside Savannah, GA and they had power and water hookups.

For customers waiting for service or for anyone that drove in?

Washington, D.C. to Key West 1214 mi.

Washington, D.C. to Savannah, GA 579 mi.

1214 / 2 = 607 mi.

Savannah is close to the halfway point.

They were closed when I arrived and I left before they opened, so you decide.

Plus I bough my RV at a Camping World and they told me there was free overnight parking there as well as Walmarts.

Probably less noise and aggravation. CW may have as much of my money Walmart.

At camping world can we put our slides out without being slaughtered by other Rvers?

Have to use common sense on that. When we park at Camping World, Walmart and other places we park with the bedroom slide area over a grass area or a place where the slide should not interfere with traffic or people.

I've NEVER found such a place. Congrats on the good fortune of the OP.

Part of the Walmart thread is people complaining about parking at Walmart and the people who frequent the area. Conversely, solutions like other places to park will come up.

What puzzles me, is why everyone is so determined to park at Walmart. There are so many nice truck stops that have, facilities, restaurants, dump stations, and places to park. Let's face it, when you are tired, it is too late to get into a campground, and you just want to park for 6-8 hours, nothing is wrong with a truck stop. Close your windows, turn on the Genny, and go to sleep. Oh yea when you wake up, you can go have breakfast, dump your tanks, and fill your tanks. Talk about your one-stop shopping!

Other then Flying J truck stops which have separate parking for Rvs, truck stops are exclusively for trucks. Unless I can find a small space that a truck cannot use, I don't feel comfortable taking a truckers parking spot.

I agree and that is another attraction for overnighting at Walmart. I am relaxing, Truckers are trying to make a living, so I do not want to take a space one of them might need.

I've stayed in Walmart lots a couple of times. Pulled in off the the side where no one was parked. Within an hour other RV's pull in and park right next or behind me, even when there is acres of space available. Same thing happened last February in a Flying J. It was snowing, I pulled to the very back of the lot, the only tracks in the snow, no one within 100 yards. I woke up to trucks on either side of me, 3 feet away. The lot was not full, and the tracks in the snow still showed unmarked spots all over the place. I figured they were messing with me.
