Talking to the $9.50/hr clerk and thinking you are following their rules is selfish
Well then I guess that makes me selfish. I didn't know that the clerks knowledge of Walmart rules was based on his or her hourly wage.

Usually just to park near the back. If you are unsure or have questions go in to Walmart and ask.

1. I frequently camp in dispersed camping area of AZ. There's no charge for this and the state welcomes anyone to camp.
2. I frequently camp at a WalMart. There's no charge for this and the Co. welcomes anyone to camp.

1 is OK and 2 isn't? 'Splain please.

Got my WM popcorn btw-->

I like a good fight as much as the next man, but not on a great forum as IRV2. Why not let folks rest where they can in a safe place like Wal Mart. Don't stay for days spend some money at their store and say thank you to the store Manager. Name calling and telling adults what they can and can't do neither adds to or helps the IRV2 community.

Can't 'Splain, some Walmart self-appointed 'police' seem to think if you use an offered privilege, you'll lose that privilege.

Could be because so some people abuse it and more and more towns are making it illegal to do so. I use the privilege and most of what I see is concerned campers parking over night. The folks who advocate camping and all that it implies (awnings, BBQ's, circling the wagons, ETC) are getting the privilege stopped. BBQ elsewhere and stop messing up the privilege for the rest of us. The camping associations boon docking etiquette have been posted here numerous times and are well know to those just wanting to argue on line. There are all based on the concept of overnighting rather than camping.

Requesting a brief timeout...:

I can parse the meaning of most sentences, but the above quoted one has me stumped..."concerned campers parking overnight"? What IS that/them????

"Campers" on their way to a "Camp Ground" or their favorite "Camping" spot "Park" over night at a Walmart.

"Remember when an RV could just pull into a Wall Mart to get a few hours sleep? Now we either have to find a rest stop or truck stop that'll let us stay or find a campground. And the price of campgrounds has gone way up since all the towns complained and Wall Mart was forced to enforce the 'the no overnight parking. We didn't know it then but now we do, those were the good ole days.
It used to be, you could camp any where in BLM or National Forest or ride a dirt bike or OHV any where. Then there got to be too many of us so of course you got the abusers. So ofcourse they ban it for every body.
All good things will come to an end and that includes free over Nighting at Wall Mart. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when.
