You posted that pic in a post while discussing someone else's Rv parking practices at Walmart. Honest mistake it seems. Unless of course you pitched that tent at Walmart

Go back and read your post ( 524) and you will see why some (not me) might think that your daughters tent is pitched at Walmart.

I'm sure someone was enjoying it as it's in a nice setting.

I'm with you. We have stayed at Walmart several times this past year. We always ask first regardless of arrival time, and seldom open any slides other than bedroom, and always repay with our business. Last stay the manager sent security to help us locate so we would be observed by their patrols throughout the night. I happen to like the "welcome feeling" they portray. OBTW - Have yet to see a trashy, full camp layout at any of the stores we have stayed. In fact most times we probaly have the clunker in the lot.

Don't believe the man indicated in any manner that this was a WalMart parking lot. (Picture with the MH and blue tent) Gotta read complete caption.

ANd I like the convinience of using WM parking lots for an overnight "park" so I can get 40 winks and continue my journey to real camping adventures like this......
(the pic appears under the quoted statement)

Woman survives bear attack
Grizzly let Canadian go after she played dead during mauling

Woman survives bear attack - - thechronicleherald.ca

Well one thing about staying at Wal Mart is I've never heard of that happening at one. Doubt if a hand gun would have been much use other than to aggravate the bear a bit more.

Cheers
Willey

Yes, it IS all on camera. That's why I find it so odd that the "Wal-Mart police" think anyone is putting one over on the Wal-Mart stores. they know who is in their parking lots, they know how long they have been there and if they want them to leave, all they have to do is send security out there (or call the locals) to run them off of PRIVATE PROPERTY. I do believe we need to be polite and not put our jacks down. But many folks who are not from areas that regularly hit over 100F do not realize (and some don't care) that jacks can really damage a parking lot. I believe that we should "leave no trace" but I believe that is also a manner in which we should live our lives, not just in a parking lot. And like I told David last night upon seeing an RV settled in for the night at a rest area on I25... I would feel a lot safer in the Socorro WalMart parking lot than in that rest area where the state troopers don't even swing thru most of the time. There's been a few times in the daytime that I have gotten a bad feeling from some of the other travelers while at that rest stop (we stop there often, it's on our way back from Albuquerque).

The part about no longer being virgins?

Actually we just happened to enter the city from the "old highway" and the first place we came to was the Wallmart. The BC long weekend is going full steam and most (all) campgrounds were full so we parked and set up. By 11:00 in the evening there were eight units set up and as far as I could tell everyone had a quiet comfortable sleep and we all checked out by about 8:30 am.
