I guess it's second nature for them to park a certain distance to the next vehicle not thinking or knowing about extended steps and if I think there is a possibility a semi would park next to me somewhere I do not extend sliders.

As far as them parking right next door to you at the farthest ends of a parking lot with dozens of other spots around that always seems to happen when you park your nice new ride out of the way to protect it, it then becomes a magnet for others to park nice and close to it (supper markets, malls, wherever even without semi's around).

So what's the deal with my old, beat up 1995 Jeep? I can park out at the far end of the parking lot, no one around (I like to walk) and when I come out... there's 4 or more vehicles of all kinds/ages parked around me! I have heard there is a similar phenomenon that occurs with boondockers.

Kind of works that way with cruising sailboats. You can be anchored in a remote & very nice large bay and people come in and anchor on top of or right next to you even though they could safely anchor a quarter mile away.

I explained to him that I had broken down and I would either have someone coming to work on my right front brake or tow me out . . . he offered to move. You could have easily parked 20 or 30 more trucks in this secluded back side of the complex. I wonder what the deal is with them parking so close to an RV??
Hi Ken,

I'm not sure why they park so close, I guess they're trying to make more room for other trucks but the lesson I learned is I will never leave my steps out overnight in a parking lot again.

Those that feel free to over press the issue and cant get into the reality its a store parking lot, not a welfare shelter, well my find themselves locked out! Most of us are darn thankful to have a few quiet hours to sleep there when needed! Its all in the way we show appreciation! Allegro5

It's called the herding instink; most animals do it. have you ever seen a lone cow standing by her selve when there are other cows around. same with people, everyone wants to be where other people are. have you ever noticed how uncomfortable you feel when your the only one around?

This way you can know before arriving if overnight parking is permitted, and also avoids the long line at customer service.

for one? If we can get it on line could you post the link for all to use.

I've been to three Wally Worlds and four Sams and cannot find any Atlas. I've been looking for the large print that they once sold. No luck. If you can find me one Dirk (large print) all reward you.

iPhone has a nice app that shows all the Walmarts and the app also opens a GPS for tracking. I just used it this week. Works great!
