Went to WalMart to grab some beef for stew. I looked and looked and could not find any cut beef, of any type, that was water injected. A sticker on every package indicated it was packed by Tyson in South Dakota. Didn't look at the burger.

Might be a regional thing?

One motorhome in the parking lot. (Not mine.)

No beef products anywhere unless the state has specific regulation requiring display if it is injected or not.

Kind of long, but straight from the USDA site. All the meat at WalMart was labeled USDA inspected.

Enhanced Meat and Poultry Products
Many grocery stores are now offering meat and poultry products that have flavoring solutions added to them. For example, pork chops may be packaged with a solution of water, salt, and sodium phosphate (a solution that can add flavor and moisture to leaner meats). These new products also provide convenience by saving steps in preparation, such as "Teriyaki Beef in Teriyaki Sauce." To prevent confusion, the presence of flavor solutions must be stated on the front of the package.

Enhanced or value-added meat and poultry products are raw products that contain flavor solutions added through marinating, needle injecting, soaking, etc. The presence and amount of the solution will be featured as part of the product name, for example, "Chicken Thighs Flavored with up to 10% of a Solution" or "Beef Steak Marinated with 6% of a Flavor Solution." The ingredients of the flavor solution must be prominently identified on the label. Typically, this information will be on the principal display panel or the information panel.

The labeling term "marinated" can only be used with specific amounts of solution. "Marinated" meats can contain no more than 10% solution; boneless poultry, no more than 8% solution; and bone-in poultry, no more than 3% solution.

In the case of enhanced products, the solutions that are added to the meat or poultry, or into which the meat or poultry are placed for flavoring, seasoning, and tenderizing, are intended to be part of the product. The solutions are required by regulations and policies to be identified as part of the product names of the enhanced products, and whether the solution is incorporated into the product or is free-flowing, it is considered part of the product.

You'd be surprised how they get around that. I worked in grocery for 10 years, there's alot of injected beef that never get's large print on them stating as such.

I was looking for a Walmart app today that would let me know if one was coming up, and while looking, I came across a statement that their policy was to allow one night of camping. Maybe I'm dense, but I fail to see what harm would be caused by running slides out on the curbside of the rear or side of the lot. While we haven't had occasion to camp at a Walmart, I'm sure we'd ask a manager first, spend some money while there, and not be a nuisance.

Oh. Their free app is primarily for shoppers, but one feature in it lets you look for a location. Just plug in an upcoming town or zip code and up pops a map.

I guess they are trying to say let's get rid of this WalMart Parking and by going off topic it isn't killing the thread. Been off topic for days and no one has stopped it. What other topics could we use?

Naw, not off topic, we're just discussing the products available to you while parking at Wal-Mart

. It's kinda like talking about the amenities at a specific RV Park.

So, why is the "Walmart Parking" thread still open?

I think it should be either closed or limited to Walmarts that do or do not allow overnight parking.
