KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick Police are investigating a retail theft at Walmart over the weekend.
On Saturday night, police found three teenagers from Kennewick in the Walmart parking lot, spray painting the ground. Officers say the three had also been trying to return stolen items to get a refund.
Police arrested the two 19 year olds and one 18 year old for destructing of property and booked them into the Benton County Jail.

Yeh, but were they parked at Wallmart? Gotta stay on topic.

It was just a misunderstanding. I had the kids spray paint the "patio" by our trailer green so Mom would feel like she had a lawn. And they were just returning some of the stuff we'd borrowed. I didn't tell them to go to the service desk, that was their own idea.

Seen (perhaps) by RVers in a Walmart Parking lot:
"According to law enforcement, Creepa -- real name Thaddeus Chaylon Martin -- provided counterfeit U.S. bills to a female associate and had her buy a $145 cell phone at a SuperWalmart in Gainsville.
Once the woman bought the phone, Creepa allegedly took it to a different Wallmart and returned the phone for legitimate bills.
It's unclear how authorities uncovered the alleged scheme, but when investigators spoke with the woman who purchased the phone ... she told cops she had no idea the money was bogus."
And..."Police in Chillicothe say 16-year-old Jacob Wolfe was riding on the hood of a 1991 Honda driven by another teen in a Walmart parking lot. He fell off and suffered a severe head injury. He died as a result of the injury on Sunday afternoon."
Perhaps some friendly RVers could have stopped the second incident or reported it before it turned tragic.

How 'bout you, Mike, ever stay overnight at a WM? How was it? It can be a very comfortable, convenient stop on your travels. Sometimes there can even be entertaining fellow rv'ers.

I'll have to admit, it took much longer than I anticipated before someone would show me the error of my ways....

I am heading through Maine on Friday and plan to overnight in Bangor. What is the latest on Walmart parking in Maine. I was in Bangor on business recently, without the RV. While there I noticed several RV's parked overnighting at Walmart. Can you or can't you overnight at Walmart or any other commercial parking lot?

Point taken. I was in retail for 20 years and had to put up with people buying things, like TVs, antennas, audio systems, etc, and then bringing them back after their party, the super bowl, etc. Since this affected my bottom line and my bonus, it struck a nerve.
Actually, I just picked up my RV last weekend. I will attempt to stay at a Walmart some day. However, all the Walmarts near where I live do not allow overnight parking because of local ordinances. But once I start traveling in the RV, I will make it a point to stay at a Walmart.

Let me suggest Dysart's Truck Stop in Bangor. It's not what it once was, but at one time they had some of the best truck stop food in the country.

Those are both included in the top three RV parks in WY. The other one is in Colorado!

Out of the two, the cody walmart was better. For some reason the town Gillette is so boring that the big hang out for anyone wanting to do donuts, burn outs, and roll coal is the walmart super center. I was wondering why there was only four RVs in the lot :P.

Yeah, and gillette is Times Square on New Years Eve compared to Rock Springs! Gotta say, I grew up in BLANK and first worked in BLANK. It's so great to find a more boring state!
