You know, I bet that we do not get to 2000 posts on this thread......what more could be said
|
Lots more and then we can say it over and over until we reach 2000. Has anyone stayed at the Walmart in Summersville WV on highway 19? We have stayed there several times and only once or twice have we seen other Rvs camped out for the night.

Ok but we both like that other piece of the chicken, the larger the better. But than again 10/10 free, what an eye opener that would be.

Record number of RV'ers at the Walmart in Aberdeen. Had the chance to talk to a couple of them. Full timers avoiding the campgrounds until the weekends leave. ALL rv spots are booked in the State according to the local newspaper.

Now THAT is a relevant issue, there are many places in the USA where there are NO available campsites...
A question for the Anti-"store boondock" people,...
IS it OK to boondock TEMPORARILY at a "willing" store under the circumstance above?

mythplaced,
Why do you insist on making WalMarts feel like a second rate place to Camp.
RD&H time.

Huh?
Dude, I think you need to read some of my other posts in this thread.....You are quite mistaken if you think I am one of the "anti-store" parking folks. But I will agree that a store or mall parking lot is no place to camp..
I am, and will continue to be a "Store Boondock overnight parker" and have used many roadside convenient locales to "overnight" park.
I have been spotted in many roadside locals for an 9 hour "rest-stop": - WalMart
- K-Mart
- Sams
- Cabella's
- Do-It-Right Hardware
- Albertson's
- Cracker Barrel
- Flying J
- Other gas stations and truck stops
- Etc....
I'm proud to be one of the "low-life trailer trash", that likes to stop and get 40 winks wherever it is allowed and convenient..THEN I get to "CAMP" at my final destination (usually a state or national park or USFS/BLM land).

YES, IT IS OK to boondock at a willing store under that or any other circumstance!!!!! It doesn't matter what anti-store boondockers or anyone else for that matter thinks. The store management has spoken, and that is all that matters.

With the weather in the south being so hot is it acceptable to run the generator all night to provide A/C? Actually this question can also apply during the winter months in the north to run the heat pumps.
