So much depends on the number of hidden pockets she has when she's
..."browsing the aisles" in WALMART.
I do think I can promise that everything that comes off the grill will be well "blackened".
Heck, it'll most likely be burnt to cinders!

It looks like we're going to have a crowd...What would you think about just leaving the freestanding BBQ at home, and doing one of your "Special Pit Barbecues?"

FYI, we usually get about 18 cooking hours out of asphalt, after which we just pull siding off the store as needed.

Per your request for extra cable:
There's a phone company yard adjacent to the Omak WALMART. I think there'll be ample cable available...

Yes, I think a pit would be just the thing. Not sold on the asphalt. The 18 hour burn time is great but that oily aftertaste really kills the flavor. Surely there're some trees around we could chop down and burn. I'll add a chain saw to my packing list.

Now about the entertainment. I have a friend who is the regional meat manager of a large grocery chain. She is also a first rate meat cutter. I'm thinking she could put on quite the show carving up whatever we find.

Sorry, I'm going to have to nix the mahi. I'm think of more local flavors. We'll keep a sharp eye on the drive over and maybe we can find a nice big elk laying by the side of the road. Yum!

And sorry I don't have any hidden pockets, but I do have some really big purses!

Before penetrating the asphalt, be sure to call Blue-Stake. Don't want any Jed Klampet type surprises. Oh, and don't forget the city and county permits. The fire Marshall may have to inspect the fire pit, too.

You can just pick up everything you need at the WalMart then returnit after you use it. It would be a lot easier than bringing everything to the WalMart. Just a thought for the flash mob.

Just set everything up in the Garden Center and you don't have to worry about paying for it and returning it.

Yeah, just dont do that in a neighborhood where a lot of shady people do that sort of thing all the time. My ONE Walmart return ever was an ez-up type canopy. Bought it late one afternoon, opened it, decided it was too flimsy, carefully packed everything back the way it came, and returned it the next morning. The closest Walmart was in a dumpy neighborhood. The return line was almost out the door. When my turn came, I explained everything and not only did the clerk make it clear by her demeanor and snyde attitude that she did not believe my "story", she gave me a hard time about it, AND it took me a good 20 minutes to get my credit. It was so bad she even had me believing I did someting wrong even though I knew otherwise. Although I had never returned anything at WM, it was clear to me from the returns line and clientele that the only reason I was treated like that is because this is a store with a high volume of people running return scams trying to get over on the store. Ayways, your comment brought that experience to mind.

My pet peeve is people who take thing out of a plastic container and leave the package on the hook. Or the ones that buy something, install it and return the used one for a refund. I bought an oil pump from an auto parts store and when I was comparing it to mine, I notice certain springs were missing. Parts store manager knew me and exchanged it for a real new one.

I bought 2 bottles of Prestone radiator flush. Both were opened and refilled with water! Now I take off the caps to see if the foil has been broken and if a package is not sealed all the way I don't buy it.

I don't park at Wal-Mart anymore. You can see my earlier posts as to why....
