Wanting to trade 5th for class A long distance

I'm looking to see if anyone can relate to my dilemma? My wife and I are full time 5th wheel RVers. Meaning, we live in our RV and don't own a permanent home. We currently live in Flagstaff,AZ because of my wife's job. Anyway, we are looking at used Class A motor homes and trading in our 5th wheel. Here's the dilemma ... it would be very difficult for us to tow our RV around looking for a Class A. Have any of you experienced this? Can you deal long distance with an RV dealer, share photos, etc? Now, when we bought our 5th wheel, we didn't have anything to trade but we did buy long distance (sight, unseen, except for internet photos) and felt pretty good about it since it was brand new. Anyway, have you found that a dealer will work with you, long distance? Thanks!!

We have traded-in sight unseen twice without a problem, towed our unit in and left with different unit. Dealer will want some pictures and condition report. If anything under play the condition of the trade. Last dealer remarked that the coach was in better shape than what I had indicated. Nothing worse than driving several hundred miles and having the dealer refuse to honor the agreed on trade in price as the unit was misrepresented .

I'd drive down to Phoenix/ Mesa for the weekend and check out some of the many dealers in the area. A trip to Tucson might be worthwhile also. Once you have some hands on and decide what you want, the Internet is your friend.

We bought our coach in Louisiana from central Texas. We just drove over the night before, stayed in a hotel, and looked at it the next morning. This was after trading pictures of it and asking a lot of questions.

I don't think an RV dealer has ever seen our trades until the day of delivery. They may reserve the right to a final inspection, but mostly they have made the real trade-in value low enough that they don't really care as long as it's not trashed. I offered pictures the first time we swapped and the dealer said "no need", as long as it's in the condition you say it is.

We recently did exactly what you want to do. We already had our RV on a sale site with 24 pics. I gave the sales mgr the site, he looked until he was satisfied and we did business.
