Wardrobe slide question
Something I heard recently indicates that those bedroom slides that move up against the side of the bed are not very desirable, and in fact may reduce the rig's value. I don't like them because they eliminate a window on that side, and are hard to use when boondocking where the slide cant be extended.
I welcome other opinions

Mine has a window in it. Why can’t they be deployed when boondocking?

I also agree that in certain situations while boondocking it is not safe to deploy the slide due to traffic passing by to close. However, I do like the extra wardrobe space. On the other hand, I’m not a fan of slides.
On the second window; in theory more windows are better. In reality when it comes to bedroom windows... less is best at my age.

I was thinking more about overnight stays in truck stops and other public parking places. I follow the rule that you never put out slides, awnings or the like when overnighting.

Our rig has the wardrobe slide and I don't see it as anything that would be necessarily undesirable. When closed, the access to the bed is only restricted on one side, not much different than the corner beds on class C's. In ours, the closet space is still available, but the drawers beneath are not, but that's not a biggie for a short/one night stay. It's certainly not a feature that would cause me to reject a particular MH floor plan.

With my quad slide rig you can't get around the bed at all if the slides are in, have to crawl over the bed. Not real convenient but doable for an overnight and have done it several times. I prefer to park next to a curb and extend the two slides on that side, but it's not always possible.

Ok sorry. I consider boondocking as being dispersed camping in the woods somewhere.

Ours is like LJWT's. Certainly nothing negative for me. But we do not boondock.
