Warning about National General Ins ad up top
I will let it be known that the banner ad at the top of the page does not take you to National General but to Good Sam Insurance. The web page will not give you a quote as advertised but someone from Good Sam will definitely call you, Even then you only get a generac quote that does not even state what the name of the insurance company the quote is for.
Just a warning.

I bought good Sam insurance about a year ago. It was GMAC then. A few months ago good Sam or gmac notified us that they were switching to national general.

Good Sam was never the insurer. Like stated above, it was sponsored by Good Sam and GMAC gave a discount to Good Sam members. Don't know if it was a buy out or a consolidation, but so far, I deal with the same people when I call.

We've had GMAC through FMCA for years, a couple months ago we got a notice that they were changing the company name to National General, but otherwise it was the same company. No buyout or change other than the name.

Well got my quote today, so much for saving $300. The quote was for $180 more than what I'm paying now. Also I have agreed value now and that was not offered with Good Sam.
Think I'll just stick with Victoria Insurance.

I switched from State Farm because SF does NOT allow me to call them up and put my MH into storage, and turn off all the insurance except Comprehensive (fire, vandals, etc). The overall cost per year is the same if I leave it active all year, but That "suspension" saves me a lot of $$ every year (when I finally DO call them, which sometimes can be hard when you THINK you'll be going camping next week).
IE: I turned it on this year for the 4th of July week long camping, and haven't turned it off yet because I MIGHT jump in it and go somewhere for a few days. It now New Years.
