Warning lights in garage?

Had the inspection on the house we're trying to buy yesterday. While checking out the attached rv garage I noticed a pair of round red lights mounted in the back wall. I'm thinking they're supposed to light up if the trailer gets too close. I couldn't see any sign of a sensor though. Seller is not local and I don't think he installed them anyway. Anybody have thoughts on how they're supposed to work?

Follow the wires Pictures might help someone identify them.

Depending on their placement, it's possible the lights are turned on, then used to center the back coach when backing it in. If you can see both in the rear view mirrors, you're centered. If not, you're off to one side (towards the one you can't see). No sensors required. Your camera will let you know when you approach the back wall.

Ah, thinking you may be right ahicks. Supposed to close on the 10th presuming they can get the tenants out. At that point I can start playing with light switches I guess.
