Warning to newer RV owners

I do not know how many new RV's are equipped with a brushed nickel goose-neck faucet in the kitchen and lightweight taps on either side, but I know many manufacturers use the same suppliers. If you do have a newer RV with a goose-neck faucet make sure it will not swing 360 degrees. Here is what happened to me. I stopped on the roadside to take a pee and forgot to switch the pump off after. I hit some rough construction and the goose-neck vibrated around over the counter, and the taps (which also barely have to be touched to turn on), came open. I emptied my water tank into my trailer. Fortunately this happened in Az and it was low humidity and hot so the inside dried out very quickly with no damage, but now I have to have it opened up underneath to get all the soaked insulation out. I am going to replace the faucet set.

As well as replacing this fixture, I can easily get wiring from my pump to the bath wall. I intend to install a non-locking push button, so i can flush without having to turn the pump on.

Our is alittle differant. We were away from the RV and our dog jump up on the back of the couch then the kitchen counter. In doing so he bumped the foset handle turning the water on. It filled the rear gray water tank then filled the sink and began over flowing just about the time we returned and walked in the door. Both pets now go into the kennells when we leave.
