Warning Triangles

How many of you carry the 3 triangle, Triangle Warning Kit, and 1/2 a dozen safety flares for use at night? All commercial trucks are required to carry these items in case of break downs. Sort of feel it's a good idea for us to carry them too, especially those with larger 5th wheels and MH TOAD combos.

I have one triangle in my car, carry two flares when touring on my bikes, and carry both flares and three triangles in my truck.

I have a set of triangles but no flares. Now that we're retired we are off the road long before dark.

We carry a set of 3 warning triangles as well as half dozen flares. Like others have mentioned - we're usually off the road well before dark. BUT, I want to be legal if/when I happen to have a roadside breakdown. They weren't expensive - and tuck neatly into one of the totes in the basement.

Page 18 of the Nevada Non-Commercial Class A/B study guide (the required license for RV's over 26,001 lbs) states:

"Warning devices must always be carried in your vehicle." They're referring specifically to reflective triangles... no flares. There are also strict requirements as to where to place them depending on whether you're on a one-way road / highway, two-way road / highway or on a curve.

I don't carry any flares, but I do carry 1 warning triangle. Bought it in 1986 in Germany (required) carried it around and across the pond a couple of times. Finally used it in 2011 Bainbridge, GA.

Hope I never need it again, but I'll have it.

I have 2 sets of triangles,1 in the truck and 1 in the RV, I don't carry flares, and DOT doesn't require flares, I also have a fire extinguisher in the truck.

I carry a set of the LED Flares like Mark above. Road flares only last 10-15 minutes, so you really need to carry a bunch of them if law enforcement doesn't arrive immediately. I also have a box of the triangles, but those suckers are heavy.
