Warranty Work In Canada Bought in US

I have bought a new Coachman Sports Coach 2011 390TS bought in Wallcot Iowa.I have trying to get my warrenty work done in Ontario but the dealer has said that i must have my MH safety checked for propane and electrical work before they can do any work and this will cost me around 1,400 dollers my propane lines need to be changed and i need 2 -15 amy breackers added. I am very close to Buffalo what was thinking of taking my MH there if anyone knows of a place please let me know the only place that i have found on the net is a place called RV Buffalo.This would not have me pay to get all the changes done but will this hurt my insurance if anything goes wrong with my MH.Also any work done here I have to pay up frount and when Coachman pays the dealer then i will get my check and money back.Not sure what to do or where to go from here if anyone knows where i should go in Buffalo or what i should do with the changes please help,I live in Barrie Ontario.

I'm confused (as normal). Doesn't appear to me you are having insurance work done, just warranty work, Your RV insurance wouldn't even know you are having work done. What I would be concerned with is why should you pay to have the work done. Than recover your money from the warranty people. Sounds to me the dealer doesn't trust the warranty company.

The dealer should be dealing with the warranty company for money not you. Call the dealer you bought the Moho from and ask them what the heck is going on.

I thought most of the major manufacturers, of which Coachman( Forest River) upgraded their standards so the Canadian Standards were now met on all their units produced. I would call the manufacturer to verify?? Sounds like the local dealer is looking for an excuse to charge you for work. They could be trying to convince you that the unit does not meet the CSA standards when indeed it may already meet the standards.
Check it out.
The warranty from Coachman should cover you on either side of the border, and in this case it sounds like the dealer is trying to penalize you for not buying locally??
